Sometimes it can take several minutes for paramedics to get to the scene. But the odds of surviving road accidents get worse with each passing minute. First Aid knowledge can help save lives at accident scenes and it is a basic life skill that everyone can learn, for the lay bystander, there are five basic actions of roadside care, which can save life. These are 'Stop to help', 'Call for help', 'Access the victim', 'Start the breathing' and 'Stop the bleeding'.
